'Where We Fly' is a sculpture we were commissioned to fabricate for 71 Above, a high-end, modern American restaurant sitting atop the US Bank Building in Downtown Los Angeles. Constructed with 3/8" cold rolled steel square rod formed and welded in-house.
Measuring over 18' long and 6' high, the sculpture was made in sections to fit the elevators of the building and then assembled and spot welded on site.
We worked with owner Reza Fahim at Tenant of the Trees to design the back bar wall unit for his new establishment in Silverlake. We also made French-style cafe table bases for the front bar.
After a fire destroyed Kat Von D's former tattoo shop in West Hollywood, we were contacted to furnish the new space with custom workstations and a custom tracing table with built in lightboxes. We worked closely with Kat to come up with the final designs and layout of the new shop. Made entirely of stained red oak with brushed brass inlays and animal-free 'leather' desk insets.
We crafted an indoor floor to ceiling loft window to allow light and air to circulate in this Tudor-style renovation in Silverlake.

We fabricated custom metal bases for the communal tables, shaping the frame in-house. The units were transported in sections to enable them to fit the elevators to the 71st floor and mechanically fastened on-site.

LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes is a cultural center in Downtown, Los Angeles.
Our clients needed custom curved platforms and listening stations for a new exhibit. Each platform was curved, maple veneered and hardbanded and finished a satin spray clear coat.
We also fabricated the aluminum vitrine bases with wood bases with a silica chamber clad in fabric.
Our clients at the California Market Center needed a sign for their trade show. They wanted a weathered look so we used reclaimed wood and had the letters antiqued to look worn. They also needed to be able to transport it in 2 pieces so we constructed 2 steel frames and offset the wood so that would bolt together seamlessly.
Kidspace hired us to build the all of the pieces in their MUD play area and a drawing/activity area.
We used redwood and Trex composite for mud pieces and cedar posts for the drawing area.

We also made a scaled logo maple welcome table with sliding door storage and a tube steel base, pink acrylic letters.
We made a shelving wall and a giveaway bar and expert bar for Arrow Electronics.
Additionally we made a waterfall lounge table.
